Hop Perle Bel

Stable Yields and the Classic Lager Profile

Working with the 'Perle Bel' variety from 'Ivanovychi Khmil', the first thing you notice is its resistance to Verticillium wilt. For a hop grower, this is a critical factor: it means fewer worries during plantation inspections and a predictable outcome at the end of the season. The variety stands its ground, which significantly simplifies farming practices and reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications.

Field Performance and Harvesting

The cones of 'Perle Bel' are large and have a deep green color. During mechanized harvesting, they perform exceptionally well: their structural density ensures minimal damage on conveyor systems. This directly impacts raw material quality—resulting in less debris and fewer broken bracts, which is essential for preserving the essential oils inside the cone.

Brewing Potential

Utilizing this variety means working with a true dual-purpose hop. With an alpha acid content of 6–8%, 'Perle Bel' becomes a versatile tool for any brewer:

• Bitter-Aromatic Balance: perfectly suited for lagers where a moderate yet noble bitterness is required.
• Aroma Profile: distinct spicy and herbal notes allow for the creation of classic, clean-tasting styles.
• Technological Consistency: the variety is predictable during the boiling process and does not impart unwanted off-flavors, making recipe adjustments much easier.

If you are looking for a reliable variety with a clear profile that is forgiving of minor errors and consistently provides good yields, 'Perle Bel' from 'Ivanovychi Khmil' is a choice that favors pragmatic farming and a predictable brewing cycle.
