Description Northern Brewer Bel
Northern Brewer hops is a bitter-aromatic variety widely used in brewing to impart both bitterness and aroma to beer. It is applied at various stages of the boil: at the beginning to extract bitterness and at the end to enhance aroma. Due to its low alpha-acid content, this hop has a mild and pleasant flavor with prominent citrus and herbal notes, making it a versatile ingredient for various beer styles.

Although originally from England, Northern Brewer is now predominantly cultivated in Germany and the United States. The German variety, known as Hallertau Northern Brewer, has high alpha-acid content and is considered one of the main hop varieties in Germany. Its aroma features pine, herbal, and minty notes, imparting an elegant and complex bouquet to beer. Due to its pelletized form, this hop retains its properties for up to three years when stored under vacuum.

Northern Brewer is suitable for a wide range of beer styles, including pale lager, Pilsner, sour ale, English ale, amber, and dark lager, as well as pale (pale) ale. It particularly excels in darker beers, adding smoothness and a complex aromatic profile. Its versatility and balanced character make it a popular choice for both traditional European lagers and ales, as well as experimental brews.
