Hippeastrum Krasnaya Polyana

Georgian breeding: resilience and health

The 'Krasnaya Polyana' Hippeastrum is a distinct variety developed by the Federal Research Center 'Subtropical Scientific Center of the RAS'. Unlike mass-market hybrids bred for sterile greenhouse environments, this variety excels in robustness and physiological resilience.

Superior resistance to bulb rot

The most significant challenge for Hippeastrum growers is the susceptibility of bulbs to various forms of rot. The research team behind 'Krasnaya Polyana' prioritized genetic resistance to fungal and bacterial pathogens. This makes the variety a standout choice for those looking to avoid frequent chemical interventions and ensure the longevity of their plant collection.

Agrotechnical advantages

• Summer garden potential: The variety is specifically recognized for its successful performance in open soil during the summer months. This allows the plant to build up substantial energy reserves during the active growth season.
• Science-backed quality: As a product of the Subtropical Scientific Center, 'Krasnaya Polyana' offers predictable growth patterns and proven adaptability to Southern-style climates.

Who is this variety for? It is an optimal selection for collectors and gardeners who prioritize plant health over fragile, purely aesthetic traits. If you have previously struggled with bulbs rotting due to environmental shifts or excessive moisture, 'Krasnaya Polyana' offers a reliable, low-maintenance alternative that thrives both in containers and as a summer garden addition.
