Hippeastrum Shulghan-Tash is a variety of hippeastrum bred at the Botanical Garden-Institute of the Ufa Scientific Center of the RAS. It is distinguished by bright red flowers with white rays and a yellow-green base, making it particularly attractive for home decor.
The plant is perfect for potted culture: it is light-loving but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. A comfortable temperature for abundant flowering is considered above 20 °C, however, the hippeastrum can withstand any room temperature. During the growth period, it uses energy accumulated in the bulb during the previous season, so frequent fertilization is not required.
Shulghan-Tash is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and heat tolerance, which makes it a reliable choice for those who want a beautiful indoor plant without extra worries. Flowering lasts about a month in winter and spring, and during the rest period the leaves completely wither, after which a new scape appears.
