Hippeastrum SPRING MAGIC

A Breeding Breakthrough for Hippeastrum Enthusiasts

"Magiya Vesny" (Spring Magic) is a product of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, offering a unique approach to Hippeastrum cultivation. Unlike imported Dutch bulbs accustomed strictly to indoor conditions, this Russian hybrid is adapted to withstand varying environmental conditions.

Key Features and Adaptability

• Compact Structure: With a flower stalk height of 40–50 cm, the plant remains stable even when grown in outdoor beds, where wind often damages taller, large-flowered counterparts.
• Seasonal Flexibility: The hybrid's primary advantage is its ability to be cultivated in open ground during the summer. This allows you to integrate exotic blooms into your landscape design rather than limiting them to a windowsill.
• Scientific Rigor: The breeder prioritized resilience, ensuring the plant has the genetic stability to handle the common stressors associated with shifting cultivation environments.

Who is this hybrid for?

This variety is a find for collectors seeking low-maintenance bulbs. It is perfect for creating focal points in the garden where reliability and predictable growth are required. Despite its excellent outdoor performance, it is vital to remember that like any Hippeastrum, "Magiya Vesny" must be lifted and stored for the winter. This is not a frost-hardy perennial, but an active summer performer. If you are looking for a way to liven up a flowerbed with vibrant blooms while avoiding the fragility of "hothouse" imports, this scientific selection is an optimal choice.
