Two-component basic herbicide for the eradication of annual dicotyledonous weeds, including species of
chickweed, in sugar beet crops.
Characteristics
Formulation: oil-based concentrate emulsion
Active substances: desmedifam, 100 g/l +, fenmedifam, 100 g/l
Chemical class: bis-carbamates
Intended use: post-emergence herbicide for combating annual dicotyledonous weeds in sugar beet, fodder, and table (excluding leafy) beet crops.
Advantages
Ability to clean large areas of beet crops from weeds at minimal cost
Broad spectrum of activity — most common annual dicotyledonous weeds, including chickweed species
High return on investment when applied in split applications at low rates, taking into account the stage of weed development, quantity, and species composition
Compatibility in tank mixtures with grass herbicides and pre-emergence herbicides
Registered for use on sugar beet, fodder, and table beet crops
Multi-component post-emergence herbicide for beet crops. Produced in Russia.
Due to its content of three active substances, Biceps Guarant has the broadest spectrum of activity.
Biceps Guarant is used to combat many species of annual dicotyledonous weeds, including chickweed species, and some grassy weeds.
Biceps Guarant allows treatment regardless of soil type and moisture.
Biceps Guarant can be applied in split doses, taking into account the quantity and species composition of weeds.
Biceps Guarant is well compatible in tank mixtures with other herbicides.
Formulation:
Concentrate emulsion containing 70 g/l desmedifam, 90 g/l fenmedifam, and 110 g/l ethofumesate.
Mode of action:
Biceps Guarant suppresses broadleaf and some grass weeds in early stages of their development, quickly penetrating through leaves. The product disrupts photosynthesis and protein metabolism in weeds, slows down growth of meristematic tissues and cell division, and limits formation of waxy layer. Visible herbicidal effects appear within 2–7 days after application. Initially, leaves lighten, gradually intensifying to chlorosis. Then weeds gradually wilt and dry out. Complete death occurs within 2–3 weeks. Maximum herbicidal effect is achieved when applied at temperatures ranging from 10 to 25 °C.
Herbicidal activity spectrum:
Highly sensitive to Biceps Guarant:
chickweed species, Ambrosia artemisiifolia, vervain species, field mustard, shepherd's purse species, groundsel species, sowthistle species, Descurainia sophia, medicinal lungwort, starwort, common chickweed, water-plantain, marigold species, annual ryegrass, black nightshade, shepherd's purse, common fumitory, creeping thistle, garden purslane, wild radish, field thistle, common violet, field pennycress;
Moderately sensitive — blue vervain, Kochia scoparia, stinging nettle, common chickweed, garden sorrel, common ragwort, common dandelion, field pennycress, common yarrow, field bindweed, field thistle, common hogweed, common chickweed;
Less sensitive — Theophrastus knotgrass, creeping bentgrass, field bindweed, species of chamomile, common burdock, field thistle, common hogweed, common hogweed.
Crops:
Biceps Guarant is used on sugar beet, table beet, and fodder beet crops.
