Description BERE NALCHIKSKAYA
The Bere Nalchikskaya pear is an autumn variety developed at the North-Caucasian Scientific Research Institute of Mountain and Foreland Horticulture. The tree is above average height with a round, medium-density crown and straight brownish-brown shoots of medium thickness. The fruits are large, weighing from 230 to 250 grams, sometimes reaching 350 grams, with a barrel shape, wide ribbing, and a smooth surface. The fruit skin is greenish-yellow with an orange blush covering most of the surface, while the subcutaneous dots are small and barely visible.

The flesh is greenish, medium density, tender, and oily, with a fine-grained structure. The fruits are characterized by high juiciness and a sour-sweet taste with a slight aroma, making them an excellent dessert product. The variety is characterized by high yield and stable fruiting, which ensures regular harvesting of quality fruit.

Bere Nalchikskaya has relatively high winter hardiness and drought resistance, which allows it to be grown in various climatic conditions of the North Caucasus. However, the variety has a limited storage period and poor transportability due to the thin skin and high juiciness of the fruits. To ensure successful cultivation, it is recommended to adhere to agronomic rules, which will preserve the health of the trees and high-quality harvest.
