Description AMUR EARLY
The Amur Early pear variety was bred in Blagoveshchensk by breeder G.I. Gosenchenko as a seedling of open-pollination of the Ussurian pear. This variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and disease resistance, in particular, it is weakly affected by scab. The tree forms an rounded-spreading, sparse crown and is characterized by early fruiting and high yield, which makes it attractive for growing in various climatic conditions, including the Far East and the middle belt of Russia.

Fruits of the Amur Early variety are very small, weighing about 40 grams, have a broadly-pear shape and a smooth surface. The main fruit color is greenish-yellow with a slight blush. The calyx and basin of the fruits are narrow and small. The flesh is light cream, loose, juicy, with a pronounced sweet-sour taste and rich aroma. Due to its taste qualities, the fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and processing into jams, compotes, juices, and jellies.

The variety requires moderate care and adapts well to various growing conditions. Despite the fact that fruiting begins on the 6-7 year after planting, high yield and early fruiting make Amur Early a profitable choice for gardeners. This pear variety is especially valued for the combination of winter hardiness, resistance to scab and excellent fruit taste qualities.
