Description Muscat
MUSCAT is a white grape variety of medium-late ripening, widely used for the production of high-quality table and dessert wines. Depending on the region and sub-variety, the berries may vary in size and color: from greenish-yellow with brown spots to yellow-green and even dark purple with a dense prunin bloom. The taste of the berries is characterized by a pronounced muscat aroma, juicy and crisp flesh, which gives the wines lightness and harmony. The sugar content of the juice varies from 16% to 23%, and the acidity ranges from 4.2–8.7 g/l, which ensures a balanced taste of the finished product.

The clusters of this variety can be of medium or large size, often conical in shape with wings, and of medium density. The bushes have medium growth vigor and good yield, reaching up to 135 c/ha. The variety demonstrates high affinity with most common rootstocks, which facilitates its cultivation and adaptation to various climatic conditions. The berries are distinguished by high resistance to cracking and gray mold, however, overall resistance to fungal diseases is assessed as low or medium, which requires careful care and preventive measures.

MUSCAT is widely used in winemaking for the creation of strong and dessert wines of light color with a dense structure and pleasant muscat aroma. Due to its taste qualities and technological characteristics, this variety is valued for its ability to create harmonious and aromatic wines that are in demand among connoisseurs. The MUSCAT grape is suitable for both table consumption and processing, which makes it a universal and sought-after variety in viticulture.
