KHACHADOR

Khachador is a Crimean grape variety belonging to the eco-geographical group of eastern wine varieties. It ripens in mid-September, allowing its use in various winemaking purposes. The leaves of this variety are of medium or quite large size, rounded, with three or five lobes, weakly dissected. The upper surface of the leaf is finely reticulate-wrinkled, while the underside has weak bristly pubescence. The flower is perfect, which promotes good pollination and crop formation.

The clusters of Khachador are of medium size, conical or cylindro-conical in shape, of medium density, sometimes dense. The berries are of medium size, rounded or slightly flattened, yellowish-green in color with a thin waxy bloom. The flesh is juicy with a pleasant taste and a special varietal aroma. The skin is thin and fragile, separating poorly from the flesh. The sugar content of the berry juice is 18-20 g per 100 cm³, acidity is 4-5 g per dm³, which makes this variety attractive for producing table wines.

The yield of the Khachador variety is low, resistance to fungal diseases is medium, and the vigor of the bushes and shoot ripening are good. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is widely used in agriculture for grape growing and is used in mixtures with other varieties for producing quality table wines. Special attention is paid to the study and preservation of the genetic resources of this variety, which contributes to maintaining its biological diversity and improving agronomic indicators.
