The Emir Weis grape represents a promising hybrid variety with an early ripening period, ranging from early August to mid-September depending on growing conditions. The bushes of this variety are vigorous with good cane maturation, which contributes to high yields. Bunches are large, cylindrical or cylinder-conical in shape, dense or medium density, weighing from 800 to 2000 grams. Leaves are of medium size, round with three or rarely five lobes, with a network-wrinkled surface and absence of hairiness on the underside. Berries of the Emir Weis variety differ in color and shape: from yellowish-green with a thick waxy bloom to dark purple oval or slightly elongated fruits measuring about 30x52 mm and weighing 20-35 grams. The flesh is dense, fleshy, juicy, with a harmonious and pleasant taste, possessing a crunchy texture and aroma. The berry skin is thick and strong, ensuring good transportability and high market quality of the fruits. The variety is characterized by high resistance to fungal diseases and good frost hardiness, reaching up to -23°C. Sugar content of the juice is 17-19 g/100 cm³ with acidity of 6-6.5 g/dm³, making the grape suitable for producing strong wines, especially in combination with other varieties, for example, Kour white. Due to its qualities and characteristics, the Emir Weis grape is an attractive choice for grape growers oriented towards obtaining high-quality crop with excellent taste and technological properties.
