The Ilya grape variety represents a new table variety, created by the selection of the Ya.I. Potapenko VNIIViV Research Institute. This variety is characterized by a very early ripening period of about 110–120 days, which allows for harvest collection as early as late July to early August. Bushes have medium growth strength, while clusters are large, cylinder-conical in shape, weighing from 500 to 1000 grams. Berries are oval, white or milky in color, with a thin skin and fleshy, crunchy pulp. The average berry weight is about 11–15 grams, and the taste is harmonious and pleasant, with a tasting score of 8.2–8.5 points. The juice sugar content reaches 19–21 g/100 cm³, acidity is 5–6 g/dm³, which makes the fruits particularly sweet and tasty. The Ilya variety is a hybrid of seedless white grape, obtained from Rayistiy and Voskovy кишмиш. Thanks to the absence of seeds, the berries are especially convenient for fresh consumption. Fruitfulness is high—70–80% of shoots produce a harvest, and the fruitfulness coefficient is about 1.3. The load on the bush is optimal at 30–40 buds, with pruning of the vine on 6–8 buds. The grape is characterized by good frost resistance up to -25°С, which allows for growing it even in temperate latitudes. In addition, the variety is resistant to major fungal diseases, such as mildew, oidium, and gray rot, which facilitates care and reduces the need for frequent use of chemical means. Ilya is an excellent choice for those who value early and quality table grapes. Its large, juicy, and sweet berries with a thin skin are ideal for fresh consumption. Thanks to high yield and resistance to unfavorable conditions, this variety is popular among gardeners and viticulturists seeking to get a tasty and reliable harvest in a short time.
