MINUSINSKOE LETNEE

The 'Minusinskoe Letnee' apple variety is the result of breeding at the Minusinsk Experimental Station for Pomology and Viticulture, developed by crossing the 'Kyzylkul Ermolaev' and 'Pudovshchina' varieties. This early-summer variety is distinguished by its high winter hardiness and drought resistance, as well as resistance to scab, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in Siberian regions. The tree is medium-sized or tall with a dense, wide-pyramidal crown, fast-growing, and enters fruiting early, usually by the 2nd to 4th year after planting.

The fruits of the 'Minusinskoe Letnee' variety are of medium size, weighing between 42 and 54 grams, round or flat-round, with a characteristic green-yellow coloration and a striped crimson blush covering most of the fruit. The taste of the apples is sour-sweet and juicy, making them versatile for fresh consumption as well as for juice preparation. Fruits ripen in early or the second decade of August, with a storage period of 2-3 weeks.

Yield of the variety is average, reaching about 9.8 tons per hectare, with maximum indicators up to 17.9 tons. Due to its characteristics, the 'Minusinskoe Letnee' variety is well adapted to the climatic conditions of the Krasnoyarsk Krai and other Siberian regions, confirming its regional adaptation and popularity among gardeners.
