Podolsky pea is a valuable agricultural crop widely used in the food industry and cuisine. There are several varieties of pea, including green and yellow, each with its own characteristics and advantages. Green pea ripens quickly, is cold- and moisture-resistant, but poorly tolerates shade. Yellow pea, on the other hand, is rich in protein, potassium, magnesium, and other beneficial substances, making it a valuable health product that enhances brain activity, maintains youth, and helps with various ailments, including diabetes and skin problems. The variety 'Idalgo F1' holds a special place — it is a high-yielding, early-maturing Dutch hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground. This variety features straight green pods with large, even peas. 'Idalgo F1' pea has a sweet taste, is disease-resistant, and stores well, making it a versatile ingredient for preparing various dishes. The yield of this variety can reach up to 3 kg per square meter, with a vegetation period of 60-70 days. For successful cultivation of 'Idalgo F1' pea, sowing is recommended in April, May, or March at a depth of 2-3 cm and spacing of 20x10 cm. Harvesting occurs in June, July, or August. Seeds are supplied in 20 g packages and are produced by Syngenta in the Netherlands. Podolsky pea, due to its nutritional properties and variety of cultivars, is an important product for both farmers and end consumers, ensuring high quality and beneficial properties.
