Pea Avenger

Securing Yields with Limagrain’s Avenger Pea

For agricultural producers focusing on high-quality commercial yields, the Avenger variety from Limagrain serves as a robust tool for risk management. Developed in France, this pea variety is designed for intensive farming operations where the predictability of the harvest is paramount, regardless of challenging phytosanitary conditions.

A Comprehensive Shield Against Pathogens

The primary hurdle in legume production is vulnerability to fungal infections. Avenger exhibits high genetic resistance to a broad range of critical pathogens, including anthracnose, verticillium wilt, sclerotinia, phoma, and cylindrosporium. Notably, its resistance to root rot makes it a reliable choice for crop rotations where legumes appear frequently, providing peace of mind during the early development stages.

Operational Efficiency in the Field

• Growth Cycle: With a maturation period of 90–100 days, Avenger fits seamlessly into most crop management schedules, allowing for timely harvest planning.
• Economic Value: A protein content of 24–26% ensures that the harvested grain meets premium market standards, attracting high demand from processors.
• Harvesting Performance: Featuring tall plants and excellent suitability for direct harvesting, Avenger helps minimize field losses. This eliminates the need for complex machinery adjustments, optimizing the efficiency of your combine fleet.

Avenger is engineered for producers who prioritize the balance between yield potential and plant health. Through the rigorous breeding programs of Limagrain (LG Europe-Research), this variety offers superior tolerance to viral plant diseases, making it a competitive choice for regions prone to high pest and viral pressures.
