Mustard "Non-shedding 2" is a Sarapov (Brassica juncea) variety distinguished by high frost resistance and a rapid growth phase. The plant withstands frosts down to +4–5 °C, blooms in June, and seeds ripen in August–September. Thanks to a stable rootstock and well-developed leaf system, the plant quickly accumulates vegetative mass, making it attractive both for seed production and for using young leafy material in cooking.
The variety is characterized by large dark brown seeds with a diameter of 1.2–1.8 mm and a dense reticulated surface. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 2 to 4 grams, and the yield reaches 0.8–1.2 tons per hectare. "Non-shedding 2" ranks among the most productive Sarapov mustard varieties and often competes with such well-known types as Donskaya 8, Kamyshinskaya 10, and VNIIMK 517.
Young plant leaves are rich in vitamins and have a bright mustard taste, making them ideal for preparing salads, side dishes for fish and meat. Thanks to their rapid growth nature and cold tolerance, the variety is easily grown in various climatic conditions, ensuring a stable seed yield and high-quality greens.
