ALISA

Mustard 'Alisa' - Sarapet medium maturity variety intended for seed production to obtain edible oil and high quality meal. The crop is characterized by high seed yield (about 28 c/ha) and oil content of about 49%. The mass of 1000 seeds is 3.4 g, which confirms high product density. Seeds contain 46-47% fat, of which 0.77% is allyl (ether) oil, and the content of erucic acid is practically absent (up to 0.2%). This makes 'Alisa' particularly valuable for the production of oil with low content of harmful compounds.

Physical plant characteristics include a height of about 157 cm and medium rosette density. Leaves are petiolated, ruffled, serrated at the edge, and inflorescences are racemose with yellow petals. The stem has no anthocyanin coloration, pods are bumpy of medium length with a long beak. Seeds are yellow and are located in a medium-deflected position relative to the stem. The crop demonstrates good resistance to lodging, seed shattering, and most pathogens, including fusarium, brown spot, bacterial blight, and rust.

'Alisa' is distinguished by high cold hardiness: seedlings withstand short-term frosts down to minus 5-6 °C. The crop does not pose strict requirements to the soil and adapts well to conditions of insufficient and unstable moisture, which makes it suitable for a wide range of agro-ecological zones. Due to the compact height of plants and good leveling by growth, the variety is convenient to be processed by mechanized means by direct combining, ensuring efficient seed harvesting.
