Amigo — is a mid-season, high-yielding fodder beet variety that matures in 105-130 days. It forms cylindrical roots with juicy white flesh, distinguished by elevated dry matter content (up to 12-14%) and sugar. The upper part of the root and its crown are located above ground, facilitating harvest both mechanically and manually. The variety is characterized by resistance to bolting, good storability, transportability, and high disease resistance, making it one of the most popular for fodder purposes, including home gardens.
To protect Amigo beet crops from perennial and annual grass weeds, it is recommended to use the combined herbicide set Centurion and Amigo Star. The active ingredient clodim in the herbicide effectively disrupts lipid biosynthesis in weeds, quickly penetrating the plant and maintaining high efficacy under any weather conditions. Application is conducted at the 2-6 leaf stage of weeds or when they reach 10-15 cm height, with application rates of 0.2-0.4 L/ha for Centurion and 0.4-0.8 L/ha for Amigo Star.
Amigo Star also acts as an adjuvant, improving distribution and uptake of pesticides by plants. It contains a 94% mixture of methyl esters of fatty acids and is available as an emulsifiable concentrate. Using Amigo Star in combination with herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides reduces drying of the products on leaves and enhances their efficacy, contributing to more reliable crop protection and increased yield.
