Large flowers with a diameter of 12–14 cm have wavy, slightly ruffled petal edges and a clear texture, giving them special expressiveness. The plant reaches a height of 110–130 cm, with slender and sturdy stems, each capable of blooming with up to 7–9 buds simultaneously from a total of up to 20. Blooming begins in late July and continues until September, making this variety an excellent choice for decorating flower beds, flower gardens, and creating bright bouquets.
Gladiolus TRAFFIC LIGHT withstands short-term heat and wind well, but requires protection from excess moisture. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to choose sunny areas protected from strong winds, with loose, fertile, and well-drained soil. Before planting, it is useful to apply organic fertilizers such as manure or compost to provide plants with necessary nutrients. Planting is carried out in spring when the soil warms to +10 °C, burying the bulbs 8–12 cm deep with a distance of 15–20 cm between them. During bud formation, gladioli require regular watering, while it is important to avoid water stagnation to prevent bulb rot.
For storing TRAFFIC LIGHT gladiolus bulbs before planting, a dry and cool place with a temperature from +5 to +10 °C and humidity around 60–70% is required. Bulbs should be protected from sharp temperature fluctuations and direct sunlight; it is best to store them in paper bags or cardboard boxes with good ventilation. Thanks to their decorative qualities and long flowering period, this variety will become a bright accent in the garden and excellent material for cut flowers, as the flowers remain fresh in vases for a long time.
