Gladiolus SILVER MIRAGE

Inflorescence Architecture and Morphology

The 'Silver Mirage' gladiolus, developed by breeder Andrey Nikolayevich Gromov, is characterized by its high structural integrity and color purity. The flower, ranging from 11 to 13 cm in diameter, features a deep, pronounced ruffling. This technical trait is critical: the ruffled structure adds rigidity to the petals, allowing the bloom to maintain its form under varying environmental conditions better than flat-petaled counterparts.

Agrotechnical Performance and Practical Application

• Aesthetic Value: Classified as highly decorative, this variety is engineered for visual impact in landscape design.
• Operational Durability: The variety exhibits moderate resistance to weather fluctuations. Practical placement requires shelter from strong winds, as the substantial, ruffled inflorescence acts as a sail, necessitating stable planting conditions.
• Implementation: Due to its clear white palette and structural geometry, it is highly effective for both focal point garden beds and mass landscaping projects where color uniformity and elegance are required.

The 'Silver Mirage' is a strategic choice for landscaping where aesthetic precision is a priority. The high level of decoration is achieved through the dense arrangement of the ruffled petals, which creates a dynamic light-play effect across the surface of the inflorescence.
