MAIA PLISETSKAYA

Gladiolus Maia Plisetskaya is an elegant and graceful variety of gladiolus, distinguished by a pale beige color with a light salmon tint and a raspberry spot on the flower throat. The flower diameter varies from 6.5 to 14 cm; the petals have a dense, silky-waxy structure with a transparent texture and strong ruffling. The stems reach a height of 145 to 150 cm, with up to 10 flowers opening simultaneously on each stem, making this variety especially striking and attractive for cutting and decorative arrangement. Gladiolus Maia Plisetskaya prefers light, loose, or drained soils with a slightly acidic or neutral reaction. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to choose wind-protected areas with sufficient lighting. Bulbs should be planted in warmed-up spring soil, maintaining a distance of about 10-12 centimeters between corms. Thanks to its tall and slender spikes, this variety is perfect for decorating flower beds, home gardens, and walkways. The Maia Plisetskaya variety was created in 1997 by author Gromov and deservedly received recognition at exhibitions, becoming a laureate and diploma recipient.
