White Princess

Mustard «White Princess» is a variety of white mustard intended for the production of food olive and meal, from which mustard powder is made. The yield reaches 3.0 t/ha, oil content in seeds up to 40%, and protein - 27%. The plant, reaching a height of 132 cm, has a growing period of about 102 days and fruiting pods with a length of 2–4 cm. The weight of 1000 seeds is 4–6 g, which indicates a high density of the seeds.

The variety is distinguished by its resistance to drought, shedding and lodging, as well as moderately resistant protection from diseases and pests. Thanks to its strong root system, it deeply penetrates into the soil, improving its structure: drainage, water permeability and aeration increase. The decomposition of green mass forms a humus layer, which contributes to further fertility of the soil.

«White Princess» is suitable for growing in steppe, forest-steppe and forest-tundra zones. It belongs to early varieties that begin to bear fruit already 3–4 weeks after sowing, while the growing period lasts about 60–70 days. The seeds can be used both for the production of mustard oil and as a seasoning for salads and other dishes due to their rich sweet taste with notes of lemon and orange.
