VANICHAYA'S GIFT

Filbert 'Vanichaya's Gift' is a high-yielding variety with large and sweet fruits characterized by high fat content (68%) and a kernel yield of about 47%. The average nut weight is 4.2 g, and the size is up to 2.6 cm. Fruits appear in mid-to-late September, making this variety late in terms of ripening.

The tree belongs to the decorative shrub type and can become a bright decoration for the garden. The tree height reaches from 3 to 5 meters, and the crown is spreading with thick, straight shoots. Leaves are large and round, giving the tree an attractive appearance throughout the year.

'Vanichaya's Gift' is distinguished by winter hardiness up to -40 °C and undemandingness to soil conditions: it prefers light, nutrient-rich soils with neutral pH. Groundwater should not exceed 1.5 meters depth. The variety grows quickly, begins fruiting as early as 2-3 years after planting, and can be used both in culinary applications and for oil production.
