Hazelnut Priznaniye

Stability and predictability in the hazelnut orchard

The 'Priznanie' hazelnut cultivar, developed by the Ufa Federal Research Center of the RAS, is aimed at growers who prioritize reliability over exotic traits. In operational terms, this variety behaves predictably: the plant shows high adaptability to climatic stress, which is critical for minimizing losses during the off-season.

Agrotechnical features and harvesting

The key performance indicator is fruit mass, ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 grams. The nut is characterized by high filling, which simplifies primary processing and calibration. Unlike many introduced cultivars, this hybrid does not require a complex recovery system after the winter period; it possesses natural resilience built in by the breeder.

• Optimal fruit dimensions reduce the percentage of breakage during mechanical shelling.
• Stable yields allow for accurate planning of commodity production volumes.
• The variety is not demanding regarding standard fertilization schemes used in industrial hazelnut production.

Maintaining 'Priznanie' plantations comes down to classic crown management. The cultivar responds well to timely pruning, which keeps the bush dimensions manageable for personnel. In terms of maintenance, this hazelnut demonstrates high 'repairability': even with minor deviations in agricultural background, the plant retains its nut quality, making it a profitable choice for those seeking a balance between labor costs and the marketable kernel output.
