Marble — an early-ripening, high-yield eggplant variety, distinguished by its compact, dwarf, and spreading plant reaching a height of about 64-67 cm. This variety is suitable for growing both in open ground and under polyethylene coverings, demonstrating good fruit set even under unfavorable conditions. The period from sowing to harvest is approximately 75-80 days, allowing for a quick yield.
Marble eggplant fruits are large, cylindrical, 22-24 cm long, and weigh up to 300 g. Their distinguishing feature is a glossy purple color with white stripes, giving them an attractive appearance. The flesh is dense, white, and non-bitter, ensuring excellent taste quality after culinary processing.
For successful growing, it is recommended to pinch seedlings at the stage of one true leaf, and after the appearance of side shoots, leave 3-5 of the most strong ones, pinching off the rest. By the end of August, leave 5-6 of the largest fruits on the plant, removing the rest, which helps increase the yield, which can reach 4.5-5.5 kg per square meter. The Marble variety combines high productivity, resistance to unfavorable conditions, and superior taste qualities.
