Umka

The Umka eggplant is a mid-season, high-yield variety that begins fruiting 110-120 days after seedlings emerge. The bushes are semi-spreading, which allows for efficient space utilization when growing in greenhouses and under film covers. The fruits are cylindrical, 15-18 cm long, with a mass of 200-250 g, featuring rare spines on the calyx and a glossy white color at the stage of technical maturity.

The Umka eggplant flesh is white, dense, and tender, distinguished by the absence of bitterness and possessing an exceptional mushroom-like flavor. These qualities make the variety versatile and suitable for various culinary purposes: it can be used as a delicacy appetizer, a meat side dish, as well as for canning and grilling.
