Maristo F1 Watermelon is an ultra-early Crimson Sweet type hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Enza Zaden. This variety is distinguished by its rapid maturation period — the first fruits can be harvested as early as 58-60 days after seedling transplanting, making it one of the earliest on the market. The plant is powerful and sturdy, exhibiting high adaptability to various climatic conditions and agricultural techniques, tolerating high temperatures and intense solar radiation well, which is particularly important for regions with a hot climate.

Maristo F1 Watermelon fruits have an oval-round shape and weigh from 9 to 15 kg, with an average weight usually being 9-11 kg. The rind is of medium thickness, about 12-13 mm, dense and strong, not prone to cracking, which ensures good preservation and transportability. The fruit coloration is striped with a predominance of dark stripes, while the flesh is bright red, homogeneous, without cavities or fibers. A high sugar content (12-13% on the Brix scale) gives the watermelons a sweet and rich taste, as well as an aroma, making them especially attractive for fresh consumption.
