Description BARCHONOK
Barchonok is an early variety of daikon, belonging to the species Raphanus sativus L. ssp. acanthiformis. It is characterized by a short growth period: from germination to the beginning of technical maturity takes about 42–45 days, making it an ideal choice for a quick yield during the summer season.

The Barchonok root crop has an oval shape with white skin and a slightly rough surface. The flesh is juicy, translucent, and almost completely white, giving the product a pleasant appearance and delicate taste. The average root mass is 400–420 grams, and the yield reaches 6.8–7.0 kg/sq.m.

The variety is distinguished by excellent taste qualities and resistance to bolting, which allows it to be used both fresh and for short-term storage. Barchonok is widely used in cooking: it is added to salads, pickled dishes, and other recipes where its sweetness and crunchy texture are valued.
