Menestrel is a late-maturing dill variety intended for growing greens and industrial processing. The maturation period for greens is 45-48 days, and for spices it is 107-115 days. The plant is sprawling, reaching a height of about 60 cm, with large dark-green leaves and a strong aroma. Yields for greens reach 2.3-2.4 kg per square meter, and for spices 1.0-1.2 kg per square meter.
Menestrel dill flowers have a diameter of about 13 cm, are velvety with light ruffling, the main color is black-purple, and the throat is yellow-green. The variety is characterized by a medium flowering period and slightly ruffled foliage. The ploidy of the plant is diploid.
Menestrel is distinguished by a long green collection period and very slow bolting, which allows obtaining a large yield of green mass. The variety is suitable for growing both in open and closed ground, grows well on a balcony. It is widely used in fresh form, as well as for drying and freezing, making it promising for industrial cultivation and year-round green production.
