Description Karlik
CARLICK — this is an ultra-early parthenocarpic hybrid cucumber of female flowering type, which begins fruiting as early as 35-42 days after germination. The plant is medium-height and well-adapted to various climatic conditions, resistant to temperature fluctuations and stress, allowing successful cultivation both in open ground and under plastic covers and in greenhouses. The hybrid is highly resistant to common cucumber diseases such as true and false powdery mildew, olive spot, root rots, and downy mildew. CARLICK fruits have a short cylindrical or truncated-conical shape, 6–10 cm long and weighing 60–90 grams. The skin is dark green with white spines and bumps of medium or large size, covered with short white stripes and dense hairs. The flesh is dense, free of bitterness and voids, with excellent taste qualities, making the cucumbers versatile for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning. Due to their compact size and attractive appearance, the fruits are suitable for preparing gherkins and pickles. The CARLICK hybrid is characterized by high yield — up to 10–12 kg per square meter — as well as good market appeal and suitability for long-term transportation. Fruiting occurs regularly, with fruits not overgrowing, not yellowing, and not deforming, which simplifies plant care and allows for a stable yield even with irregular harvests. These qualities make CARLICK an excellent choice for gardeners and farmers who value early ripening, disease resistance, and high fruit quality.
