F1 Karina (Model 144/05)
— a parthenocarpic early-maturing female-type hybrid. Two to four (up to six) fruits form in the axil of each leaf. Intended for cultivation in spring, summer, and autumn rotations. Plants are vigorous, main stem length 3.0–3.5 m, medium branching, prone to forming determinate lateral branches. Leaves are dark green, medium size, good leaf coverage. Fruits are cylindrical with a slight taper toward the base, 18–20 cm long, 3.5–4.0 cm in diameter, weighing 190–210 g. Fruit surface is slightly ribbed, dark green in color, glossy skin. Fruit flesh is firm, suitable for salad use. Fruits store and transport well. Hybrid is resistant to true powdery mildew, root rots, tolerant to false powdery mildew and WM. Hybrid exhibits vigorous growth and rapid fruit set.
