Sugarcane corn hybrid Zoryanyy is an early-maturing hybrid with high plasticity and yield, developed by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences named after V. Ya. Yuryev of NAAN and registered between 2015-2017. Plants reach a height of 230 to 280 cm, with 14-17 leaves and an ear attachment height of 90 to 110 cm. Ears have a length of 20-26 cm, a red core, and a dent type of kernel, with a 1000-kernel mass ranging from 250 to 290 g. The hybrid is characterized by rapid early growth and high resistance to major diseases and pests, including summer and fluffy aphids, as well as stalk rots. Zoryanyy exhibits high cold and drought tolerance, enabling successful cultivation in various climatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia. Recommended planting density depends on the region and ranges from 50 to 90 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions and features accelerated water release, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. Potential grain yield reaches 11-11.5 tons per hectare, with a grain yield of 84-86% and moisture content at harvest of 18-19%. Zoryanyy corn grain has a cream-colored dent structure with a yellow-orange hue, containing approximately 9.8% protein and 77% starch, making it valuable for various applications, including grain and silage production. Seeds are treated with the fungicide "Inshur Perform," providing effective protection against diseases. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, the Zoryanyy hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality corn yields.
