Corn DMS Cortes is a medium-early hybrid of domestic production with FAO 230, designed for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Forest-Steppe, Polissia, and Steppe. The plant reaches a height of up to 2.7 meters, with ear attachment height of approximately 0.95 meters. The hybrid is characterized by high drought resistance and heat tolerance, making it particularly suitable for southern regions of the country. Thanks to its strong stalk, DMS Cortes exhibits high resistance to lodging, even after prolonged field standing. The vegetation period ranges from 104 to 110 days depending on the cultivation zone, with a minimum recommended soil temperature for sowing of 9-10 degrees Celsius.
This hybrid possesses genetic resistance to diseases such as blister and gray leaf spot, as well as to the corn borer. The ear forms 14-16 rows of kernels with average drying speed. Yield potential reaches 15.5 tons per hectare in Forest-Steppe and Polissia zones and 14 tons per hectare in Steppe zone. The hybrid belongs to the extensive type, enabling it to fully realize its potential even under limited fertilizer application.
It is worth noting that Corn DMS Cortes is produced in an ecologically clean region of Ukraine and has received high quality ratings. It is suitable for various applications, including processing and use in the food industry. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high yield under variable climatic conditions.
