Description SY ZEPHIR
The hybrid corn SY ZEPHIR is a mid-late, highly adaptable variety intended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions. It features a high yield potential of up to 10 t/ha and rapid grain moisture loss at maturity, facilitating harvest and reducing losses. Plants have an erectoid leaf arrangement, enhancing photosynthetic efficiency, as well as a Stay Green type, providing resistance to lodging and prolonged green mass retention. The average protein content in grain is 9.2%, and starch content is 72.4%, making the grain suitable for various technological purposes.

SY ZEPHIR exhibits high resistance to adverse factors: drought tolerance and cold resistance are rated at 9-10 points, enabling successful cultivation even under insufficient moisture and variable climate conditions. The hybrid also shows high tolerance to diseases, including Helminthosporium, powdery mildew, root and stem rot, reducing harvest loss risks and the need for intensive protective treatments.

Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: under adequate moisture, optimal density is 50-60 thousand plants per hectare; under unstable conditions — 45-55 thousand; and under insufficient moisture — 35-45 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid is well-adapted to conventional cultivation practices and especially effective under irrigation. Due to its characteristics, SY ZEPHIR is a reliable choice for farmers seeking stable and high-quality grain yields.
