Hybrid corn Ray is an early-maturing, simple-modified grain-type hybrid registered in the Variety Register since 2020. It is characterized by high yield, reaching 110-120 c/ha, and rapid moisture reduction in the grain during ripening, which facilitates harvesting and storage. Plants reach a height of 230-250 cm, with cylindrical ears 22-24 cm long, containing 14-16 rows of kernels, each row holding 37-40 kernels. The grain is dent-shaped, yellow in color, with a 1000-kernel weight of 270-290 g and a milling yield of 83-85%. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to various stress factors and diseases. It exhibits good drought tolerance (8 points), high cold tolerance (9 points), resistance to lodging (9 points), fusarium (9 points), head smut (8 points), and corn borer (8.5 points). Thanks to these qualities, Ray is successfully grown in various soil-climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe. The seed producer is the company Maïs Cherkasy, known for its quality and compliance with Ukrainian, European, and American standards.
