Description OS 617
OS 617 is a simple two-line hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) with very late maturity. The plant has medium height, prone to tall growth, with long or very long ears that have a weak conical shape and short or medium-length stalks. The stem is colored, and the kernels are toothed with yellow coloring at the top. The average grain yield in the region is about 62.7 t/ha, and normalized dry matter is 121.2 t/ha.

The hybrid OS 617 is characterized by good resistance to a range of diseases. It is resistant to southern helminthosporiosis, weakly affected by common smut, and has moderate resistance to bacterial and Fusarium ear diseases. However, the plant is moderately damaged by corn borer, which requires attention during cultivation. These characteristics make this hybrid a reliable choice for regions with similar phytosanitary conditions.

Due to its agronomic properties, OS 617 is suitable for obtaining a stable yield under late maturing conditions. Its grain has good technological qualities, allowing it to be used for both food and animal feed purposes. High yield and disease resistance make this hybrid attractive for farmers aiming for efficient and high-quality corn production.
