Description SILEX
SILEX is a medium-maturing simple hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.) intended for grain production. The plant is characterized by high stature, medium-length tassels, and a short stalk. The grain has an intermediate type, closer to dent, with yellow coloring in the upper part. The number of rows is medium, and the kernel is colored. The hybrid is included in the state register for the North Caucasus region and shows an average grain yield of about 46 c/ha.

SILEX exhibits resistance to southern helminthosporium and is slightly affected by common smut. It also shows medium resistance to bacterial diseases and above-average resistance to ear fusarium. However, the plant is severely damaged by the corn borer, which requires attention during crop protection.

The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in regions with similar climatic conditions, where disease resistance and high grain yield are important. SILEX grain is primarily used for obtaining high-quality grain, making it popular among agrarian producers focused on grain production.
