Corn MAS 56A is a late-maturing, two-line hybrid grain corn, primarily intended for feed use in agriculture. The variety is distinguished by its high yield and good adaptation to various climatic conditions, as well as the Stay Green effect, which helps maintain plant green mass during ripening. The vegetation period is approximately 129 days, ensuring stable grain maturity at a thermal sum of around 2030 °C. Seeds have a 1000-seed mass within the range of 340–360 grams, and the plant exhibits a high growth form with medium leaf width. The corn ear of MAS 56A is very long and thick, with 18–20 rows of kernels and 34–38 kernels per row. The kernels are dent-shaped, yellow in color, with strong anthocyanin pigmentation of the cob. The plant is resistant to stalk rot and moderately resistant to ear and stalk diseases caused by Fusarium and corn borer, enhancing its reliability in cultivation. Grain moisture at harvest is approximately 23.5%, facilitating storage and further processing. The MAS 56A variety demonstrates high productivity: average grain yield in the region reaches 72.7 c/ha, which is 20% higher than standard benchmarks, and maximum yield may exceed 100 c/ha. Due to its characteristics and resistance to adverse factors, this hybrid is widely used for feed production, providing quality nutrition for livestock and a stable income for farmers.
