Biological Protection and Immunity

The core advantage of RIK 340 MV is its genetically programmed resistance to a complex of pathogens. Breeding efforts have been focused on blocking infection pathways for Helminthosporium and Fusarium, which traditionally lower grain test weight. High resistance to stalk rot allows the plant to maintain structural integrity until physiological maturity, significantly minimizing losses during mechanical harvesting.

Grain Morphology and Performance

The semi-flint yellow grain type ensures high density and well-filled ears. This parameter is critical for grain production, as it provides an optimal ratio of endosperm to germ. The mid-maturing group (FAO 340) balances vegetative duration with yield potential, allowing for efficient use of active temperature sums to accumulate dry matter.
