Characteristic traits. Variety with toothed form (ssp.semidenta). Plant height 260-270 cm. Ear attachment height 90-95 cm. Leaf number 16-17. Ear length 23-24 cm. Row number of kernels 16. Grain yield 86%. Ear stalk red. 1000 kernel weight 260-280 g.
Biological features. Mid-early maturity group FAO 270. Germination to full maturity period 110-113 days. Initial growth rapid. Cold resistance high. Drought resistance high. Resistance to lodging high. Resistance to ear drooping high. Resistance to aerial smut high. Resistance to bubble smut high. Resistance to stalk rot high. Resistance to corn borer high.
Agronomic traits. Potential grain yield 11.0-11.5 t/ha. Recommended planting density for Steppe 40-45 thousand/ha, for Forest-Steppe 60-65 thousand/ha, and for Polissia 70-75 thousand/ha. Harvest moisture 23-25%. Potential green mass yield 45.0-46.0 t/ha. Dry matter content in green mass 33-34%. Protein content in grain 10.3-10.6%. Starch content 75.4%.
Hybrid seed production is conducted on sterile M-type basis according to full restoration scheme without panicle abortion. Sterility of maternal form 99-100%. Optimal planting scheme of parental forms on hybridization sites 12:4, 6:2. Yield of conditioned seeds under high agronomic practices reaches 5.0 t/ha.
