Variety-defining traits. Dentate variety (ssp. semidenta). Plant height 290-300 cm. Ear attachment height 95-100 cm. Leaf number 16-17. Ear length 24-26 cm. Row number of kernels 16-18. Grain yield 85%. Ear stalk red. 1000-grain weight 280-290 g.
Biological characteristics. Medium-early maturity group (FAO 280). Days from emergence to full maturity 112-114 days. Early growth rate is fast. High cold resistance. High drought tolerance. High lodging resistance. High resistance to ear drooping. High resistance to common smut. High resistance to southern rust. High resistance to stalk rot. High resistance to corn borer.
Agronomic traits. Potential grain yield 13.0-13.5 t/ha. Recommended planting density for Steppe: 40-45 thousand/ha, for Forest-Steppe: 60-65 thousand/ha, and for Polissia: 70-75 thousand/ha. Harvest moisture 21-23%. Potential green mass yield 46.0-47.0 t/ha. Dry matter content in green mass 31-33%. Protein content in grain 11.0-11.1%. Starch content 76.5%.
Hybrid seed production is conducted on sterile M-type basis according to full restoration scheme, without panicle break. Sterility of maternal form 99-100%. Optimal parental forms planting scheme for hybridization areas 12:4, 6:2. Conditional seed yield under high agronomic practices reaches 4.0 t/ha.
