Description LG 2289
LG 2289 is a medium-late hybrid corn variety with a FAO of approximately 400, designed for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Tassel flowering occurs in early or mid-season, with the main tassel axis higher than lateral branches, which have medium length and form a small or medium angle with it. The ear is medium or long, slightly conical in shape, with short or medium-length shank, and the stalk is colored on approximately 70% of ears. The kernel is intermediate type, with yellow upper part.

LG 2289 is characterized by high yield, averaging 55.1 centners per hectare, which exceeds the standard by 7.2 centners per hectare. The hybrid is resistant to southern helminthosporiosis, slightly affected by powdery mildew, and has medium resistance to bacterial and ear fusarium. However, it is severely damaged by stalk borer.

This hybrid possesses high drought resistance and adaptability, making it suitable for cultivation in arid and southern regions. Thanks to its strong root system, it efficiently utilizes fertilizers and moisture, ensuring stable yield under various soil-climatic conditions. LG 2289 is suitable for grain production and provides long-term storage of harvest.
