RODNIK 180 SV

Rodnik 180 SV is an early-maturing, complex four-row corn hybrid with a maturity group of FAO 180, suitable for cultivation as grain or silage. Plants reach a height of 230–260 cm, have a weak conical ear of 20–22 cm length and 110–140 g weight. Grain is half-moon shaped, yellow, with a 1000-grain weight of 270–300 g. The ear has 14–16 rows of kernels. Seeds are treated with Maxim XL 035 and Vibran 500 FS, providing additional protection at planting. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases, including southern helminthosporiosis, and shows low susceptibility to common smut and ear bacterial blight. However, it is susceptible to ear Fusarium and corn stem borer. Rodnik 180 SV is resistant to lodging and stem breakage, which helps maintain yield under adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates cold tolerance at early planting dates, expanding its cultivation potential. Recommended plant density varies by region and growing conditions: for grain and silage on dry land — approximately 60,000 plants per hectare; on irrigated land — up to 75,000. In regions such as the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polесьe, optimal planting density ranges from 55,000 to 90,000 plants per hectare. Normalized dry matter yield reaches 72.6 centners per hectare under favorable conditions. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in the Central, Middle Volga, West Siberian, and North-Western regions, as well as in the Steppe and Polесьe, making it a versatile choice for various agroclimatic zones.
