Komandos

The Komandos corn hybrid is a high-yielding grain variety with a potential yield of up to 16 tons of grain per hectare. It belongs to the medium maturity group (FAO 330) and is characterized by rapid early growth, ensuring good plant stand uniformity. Plants reach a height of 260 to 320 cm, with the ear attached at a height of 100-120 cm. The grain is dent-type, with 14 to 16 rows and 36-40 kernels per row, and 1000-kernel weight varies from 290 to 330 grams. Grain yield is 82-83%, indicating high hybrid efficiency. Komandos is distinguished by high plasticity and resistance to various climatic conditions, including drought. The hybrid demonstrates stable yields under both intensive and extensive cultivation technologies, and it adapts well to minimum and zero tillage, contributing to soil structure preservation and resource conservation. Plants have a strong semi-remontant stalk with a robust root system, ensuring high resistance to lodging and root lodging. Throughout the entire vegetation period, excellent phytosanitary condition is maintained due to genetic resistance to helminthosporiosis, fusarium, and common rust. The hybrid features rapid water shedding, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. The recommended plant population at harvest is 70-80 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture conditions and 55-65 thousand under insufficient moisture. Thanks to its loose ear husk and high drought resistance, Komandos ensures stable grain and green mass yields even under adverse weather conditions, making it an optimal choice for modern cultivation technologies, including No-Till.
