Corn hybrid Kiy 250 SV is a medium-early trihybrid with FAO 250, developed by LLC "Rasava". This hybrid is characterized by a vegetation period duration of 133-142 days under Ukrainian forest-steppe conditions, allowing for full maturity of grain. Plants reach a height of 270-290 cm and have 14-16 leaves on the main stem, with weak bushiness. The ear has a weak conical shape, 18-20 cm long, with 18-20 rows of kernels, each row containing 40-46 kernels. The grain is toothed, yellow in color, with a 1000-kernel weight of 270-300 g, and a grain yield from the ear reaching 78-80%. Hybrid Kiy 250 SV is distinguished by high productivity and resistance to lodging and diseases, ensuring a stable yield even under different ecological conditions in Ukraine. According to state trials, the average grain yield (standard moisture) was 8.09 t/ha in the Polissia region, with a guaranteed increase of 8.0%. In individual farms, yields reach 9.0-10.0 t/ha. The hybrid also exhibits high cold and drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation under challenging climatic conditions. Seeds of Kiy 250 SV are treated with Maxim XL035 FS and Vitavax, providing additional protection against diseases. Seed production is conducted on sterile (C-type) bases with full fertility restoration, guaranteeing high-quality planting material. The hybrid is suitable for combined use: grain, green mass, and silage, making it a versatile choice for agricultural producers.
