Grace

The hybrid sweet corn Grace is a simple modified mid-early variety with a FAO index of 280, intended for grain use. This hybrid is characterized by high adaptability to improved growing conditions and efficient water use by the grain during maturity. Plants reach a height of 270-280 cm, with an ear attachment height of 100-110 cm, and the ears are cylindrical, 19-22 cm long, containing 16 rows of kernels with 32-35 kernels per row. The kernels are dent-shaped and yellow, with a 1000-kernel weight of 280-300 g, and a milling yield of 83-85%. The hybrid Grace exhibits high resistance to adverse environmental factors, including low temperatures and drought, as confirmed by a resistance rating of 9 points. Additionally, it is tolerant to Fusarium, common smut, and stalk rot, and shows high resistance to stalk borer. These characteristics make it an ecologically stable and reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The hybrid is remontant, contributing to additional yield under favorable conditions. The grain yield potential of the hybrid Grace is 140-145 centners per hectare, with average yields ranging from 55-65 centners per hectare under insufficient moisture to 75-80 centners per hectare under adequate moisture. The recommended planting density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare under dry conditions and 75-80 thousand under optimal moisture. The planting unit contains 80 thousand seeds. The hybrid was developed jointly by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAN of Ukraine and the agro-industrial company 'Maïs', making it an excellent choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-yield grain corn crop.
