The R9757 hybrid corn is a mid-late maturity simple hybrid with dent kernel type and FAO 390, intended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe zones of Ukraine. It exhibits high adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, ensuring stable and high grain yields reaching 10-12 tons per hectare. The recommended planting density varies depending on conditions: 60-65 thousand plants per hectare under favorable conditions, and 55-60 thousand under unfavorable conditions.
One of the key features of this hybrid is its high resistance to root lodging and corn molds, significantly reducing yield losses and enhancing cultivation reliability. The plant also demonstrates excellent drought tolerance and good water use efficiency, making it especially valuable under water-deficient conditions. Additionally, the hybrid shows high tolerance to common diseases such as helminthosporiosis and gray mold, with resistance ratings of 8 and 9 respectively on a 9-point scale.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to apply classical soil preparation techniques and use post-emergence herbicides according to crop development stages. The hybrid is suitable for early and mid-planting dates, allowing flexible planning of agronomic activities. Additional seed treatment helps protect against diseases typical of monoculture corn, enhancing overall plant resilience and productivity.
