Golosiivskyi 260 SV — a medium-early hybrid of sweet corn of Ukrainian selection with FAO 290-320, possessing high yield and adaptability under various growing conditions. Plants are tall, reaching 250-290 cm in height, with well-branched, robust stalks of the remontant type and a strong root system. The ear, 20-24 cm long, contains 16 rows of kernels, totaling 480-560 yellow, dent kernels, with a 1000-kernel weight of approximately 350 g. Ear attachment height is 100-120 cm.
The hybrid is characterized by high initial growth rates, promoting rapid plant development in early stages. It exhibits high drought and cold resistance, enabling successful cultivation across various regions of Ukraine, including the East, Center, West, and North. Rapid water recovery during maturation ensures timely harvest, reducing the risk of losses.
Golosiivskyi 260 SV is resistant to major corn diseases, including stalk and root rots, stalk borer, downy mildew, and gray leaf spot. It also demonstrates high resistance to lodging, enhancing the quality and preservation of the harvest. Due to these characteristics and adaptability, the hybrid can be grown both in monoculture and in crop rotation, making it a profitable choice for farmers aiming for stable and high yields.
