Maize Gopak

Stable yields with Ukrainian sweet corn genetics

For growers looking to balance consistent performance with proven genetics, the 'Hopak' hybrid from the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute is a standout choice. Designed specifically for the Ukrainian climate, this hybrid removes the uncertainty often associated with importing exotic varieties that may not adapt well to local soil conditions.

Field performance and operational ease

When operating in the field, 'Hopak' is valued for its reliable growth cycle. It demonstrates high seedling vigor, allowing the crop to establish itself quickly and gain a competitive edge over weeds. From a maintenance perspective, the plant architecture is well-balanced, making both chemical applications and mechanical harvesting significantly easier.

• Grain Quality: A classic sweet corn type, maintaining high sugar content and excellent marketability.
• Harvest Efficiency: Uniform ear placement significantly reduces loss during mechanical harvesting and speeds up manual labor efforts.
• Adaptability: Built to withstand the stress factors common in the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine, reducing the risk of unexpected yield drops.

By choosing 'Hopak', the operator gains a predictable and manageable asset. The hybrid is not high-maintenance, but it rewards good agronomic practices—specifically proper fertilizer management and irrigation—with consistently high yields. It is a pragmatic solution for farmers who prioritize yield stability and local expertise.
