Gran 310 is a three-line mid-early hybrid sweet corn, developed for high yields under various climatic conditions. It is distinguished by high adaptability to low temperatures in early vegetation stages, enabling early spring planting and earlier harvests. Plant height reaches nearly 3 meters, and the ear is positioned at about 115 cm, facilitating harvest with combines. The hybrid is characterized by high grain yield — around 140 c/ha, with a record number of kernels per ear (448–504 kernels), arranged in 16–18 rows of 28 kernels each.
Gran 310 has good drought resistance and can develop effectively under both hot and low-temperature conditions. Its resistance to major diseases is medium (6–7 out of 10), and lodging resistance is rated at 6 points. Fungicide protection is recommended for successful cultivation. Due to its morphological structure and ear architecture, Gran 310 ensures good moisture shedding, which helps reduce harvest losses.
The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both for grain and silage, and can be successfully grown in various regions of Ukraine, including the North, Center, steppe, forest-steppe zones, and Polissia. The recommended seeding rate is 70–80 thousand seeds per hectare, with yields reaching up to 14 tons per hectare, while average yields are around 10 tons. Gran 310 is designed with the specific features of Ukrainian agriculture in mind, allowing for stable and high yields even under challenging weather conditions.
